The story of Attender

Okay maybe it was not quite as dramatic that the idea came on a dark and stormy night. But we have for a long time had a dream to make an attandance registration tool that uses new technology. And not just attendance registration that is a digital version of an old check box piece of paper.

Many has by now grown up with some sort of it in their daily life. Whether it was a mainframe, Commodore 64, iPhone or similar. So that means there are new opportunities.

We want to take the best from modern tech and spice it with gamification so students have a carrot to chase. That is why we made Attender. And this is the story of Attender.

The Attender idea starts

After 20+ years of making solutions for education and schools. We found that there was a need for a new and smarter system for attendance registration. As many of today systems are old fashioned, slow and honestly – really boring. And we wanted to use modern tech like gamification, AI and online solutions.

The Attender idea really took off in March 2020 when most of the world got hit by Covid-19. This meant a lot of learning went online and there was an even greater need for a flexible attendance registration solution.

We showcases a preview version at a early conference for danish schools in Fynen. That gaves us valuable feedback.

Finally is Attender version 1.0 and Attenders website live! We have however cheated a little bit, since Attender was already up and running at the first school.

We thought it would be better to launch Attender when we knew it was in use and working well.

Microsoft Teams app

Attender is now launched in Microsoft Teams. Not only can you now use Attender in Teams. But Attender can also make automatic registration when you have online classes.
